Real Gluten Free Bread...Genius!

This has to be one of the best Gluten Free offerings out there ... real, squashy, fresh gf bread that doesn't turn into crumbs when you remove it from the bag!

There are white, brown, sliced & unsliced varieties.. and I love them all ... once again I can have sandwiches rather than rice cakes and cardboard crackers :)

Check out this link to see where you can buy yours locally http://www.geniusglutenfree.com/gluten-free-products/where-to-buy/

Bring back your childhood.... gluten free pink wafers ... woo hoo!

What a find.... gluten free pink wafers... now I confess, I can't remember what the gluten-full biccies taste like (it's been a while since I was a ten year old at a birthday party!) but these ones taste pretty blinkin' good & so I'd say they were a fair representation.

I can't find them at an online store, but Sainsbury's seem to stock them if you've got one near by or can order through mysupermarket.co.uk

and as always, any opinions will be very welcomed!

Cereal that doesn't taste like shredded cardboard...

Doves farm Cereal Flakes.... yum! I think of them as the gluten free equivalent to Special-K ... not that I can really remember what that tasted like, but I think that's a pretty good approximation! My only critism is that they are a tad on the sweet side, but mixed with yogurt, or plain rice puffs they're delicious.

http://www.naturalcollection.com/products/doves-farm/doves-farm-cereal-flakes-375g/ I haven't bought from these guys before & there's a good chance you can find them in your local supermarket, but incase not then here you go.... enjoy & let me know what you think

Gluten free oats....

... did you know they existed? I didn't until a few weeks ago when I discovered them on the bottom shelf of the aisle in our local supermarket... but they were very much worth the discovery.

I have to recommend the Nairns Gluten Free Oat Museli.. it's tasty, real & doesn't have any of that 'this-is-gluten-free' taste about it!!The Nairns website has a 50p off voucher too (http://glutenfree.nairns-oatcakes.com/mura/nairnsglutenfree/assets/File/Nairns_GlutenFree.pdf) which is a bargain! I love the wholesome taste of the museli & even find myself mixing it with the plain gluten free oats to make it a bit more wholesome.... yum - have you tried it? What do you think?

What is it about Gluten Free Foods....

... you find out you can't eat gluten anymore - your first thing is probably to work out what on earth has gluten in it and once you've done that you wonder how life will ever be the same again without fresh bread and your favourite chocolate bar....

... then you discover gluten free foods and soon realise that unless you pick carefully you'll find yourself with a packet of cardboard of a box of crumbs!!!

So after many years of spending a fortune on gluten free 'foods' which might well have been 'gluten free' but whether they were fit to be called 'food' is a matter for debate ...I have decided to share my favourites with all you fellow gluten free folks in the hope that you can save some precious pennies and once again enjoy close alternatives to your favourite foods.

Please add your thoughts to any of my posts... after all it really is a matter of taste!!
